Another Friday, another DeRace Development Update!
NFT Jockeys, Hippodrome Management System and Sakura Path hippodrome were the main focus of our team this week. So without further ado, let’s see what we have achieved so far.
👔 Jockeys are race ready!
DeRace Jockeys finally got their silks on and cannot wait to race!
This week our game designers have revealed some of the patterns for the Jockey silks and they look absolutely stunning! Combined with unlimited color combinations each DeRace NFT Jockey will have a distinguished uniform which will help the spectators to identify them from afar.

We have also finalised the Jockeys’ racing animation as well as their position on the horse to better mirror the real-live races.
The upgraded Jockeys are already racing in the test-net!
In the next steps we will assign different properties to each Jockey which will affect their racing performance and after that, Jockeys can come to play in the DeRace metaverse. Cannot wait for it! 😉
🏁 Hippodrome management system
Upcoming hippodrome owners, listen up: this one’s for you!
After finalizing the concept and the upcoming features for the hippodrome management system, our team is working at full speed in bringing it to life.
Our developers started working on the general console for the hippodrome owners allowing them to easily create the races of their choice which then will be generated according to the pre-set rules. Hippodrome managers will be able to choose different furlong lengths, entry prices, prize pool % and even the number of the winners!
After we have designed the automated race creation system, we will move to the tournament creation and billboard manager — which will help the hippodrome owners to attract the potential sponsors in the future.
We will be dropping some sneak peeks from the hippodrome management system, don’t miss it out!
🌸 Sakura Path updates
Each week we come one step closer to finalizing our upcoming hippodrome!
Our game designers are creating the last of the hippodrome elements: starting gates, grandstand and a few more environment details which will make the Sakura Path hippodrome look more realistic.
This week our team started placing all the designed elements together to create a working hippodrome model. They have also fully created the hippodrome environment: sky and the lighting which completely embodies early morning and the surrounding areas, to make Sakura Path look as authentic as possible.
We shall reveal the full hippodrome very soon!🤩
⚡️DeRace Efficiency Protocol upgrades
This week among other things, we have also worked on improving our platform performance through the regular system maintenance.
You might have noticed a smoother breeding process, more fluid deposit/withdrawal system and other small but impactful changes in our ecosystem. As they say, the grind never stops, and there’s always space for improvement!😁
