Who’s ready to saddle up their NFT horses? 🙋
This week the DeRace game design team has finalized the concepts of all NFT horse wearables (performance boosting items).
Our vision is to have a great variety of performance boosting assets, both in terms of their designs as well as patterns and colors.
We are creating 10 different assets each of which will have up to 10 distinct designs! On top of that, each design will also have around 10 separate color and pattern combinations and 3 different condition grades.
Our game design team has also been working on a mechanism which automatically generates performance boosting assets using different parameters such as color and design, just like for our NFT horses.
In the future we will be able to add additional colors and patterns into the mechanism to make the horse wearable items even more original and diverse!
Updated horse animations 🏇💨
One of the biggest challenges of horse NFT wearables on the racetrack are the animations of the equipment and the horse itself.
DeRace NFT horses are designed to replicate real-life racehorses from their bone and muscle structure up to the exact muscle movement when racing. This means that boosting equipment can only be placed on the dedicated areas in order to complement NFT horse’s anatomy.
To make sure that the new in-game items perfectly fit every DeRace horse, we are updating all the horse animations. Mounted horse wearables will look more natural when the horse is racing as the equipment won’t obstruct the muscle movement but instead will adjust to it.

This week we focused on developing the logic for in-game reward mechanics which will consist of separate player and horse achievements.
We have already finalized the NFT horse achievements’ logic and will start preparing for its implementation. Horse achievements will include reaching set race targets such as running a total of 30.000 furlongs, finishing races #1 in all tracks at least once, for setting a new racing record and other cool tasks!
Next week we will turn to the logic and mechanics of player achievements. DeRace players will get rewarded individually for various in-game activities and for crossing major in-game and off-game milestones.
In-game rewards will bring an additional layer of fun to the DeRace gameplay and a sense of accomplishment to the players for reaching new targets.

DeRace V2: optimizing NFT horse breeding 💕
Our development team is fully focused on bringing DeRace V2 to life. They are not only updating the existing features to run smoothly and instantly but also adding additional ones to the platform!
Currently our team is focusing on improving the breeding feature. Say goodbye to the long network issues and Pac Man and say hello to smooth transactions.
Breeding process in the DeRace V2 will become instantaneous. The currently used 6-step process will be simplified to ensure seamless experience for the players: from selecting NFT horses for breeding to receiving the newly minted horse.

🐴 DeRace V2: Renting Mechanism
There are 2 types of horse rentals in the DeRace metaverse: renting for breeding and renting for racing.
With the launch of DeRace V2, renting for breeding (or simply “Tinderace”) will get a massive upgrade: players will be able to filter all horses open for breeding according to their breeding fee and other additional parameters. Choosing the perfect mate for your champion will become easier and even more efficient. After the mate is chosen, move on with the improved breeding process 💕
The new smart contract will also let us to speed up renting for racing implementation. Future guilds, listen up: this renting feature will launch soon after the DeRace V2 introduction, so start looking for scholars 🐎 Renting for racing will help us to expand our player base and will offer a solution for stable owners who don’t have time to fully participate in the game.
